A message from Trevor

Thanks for my blogs. They really brighten up my day. Mrs. Stewart and Mrs. McClymonds-thanks for the jokes! Mrs. Martin-I will stop by some time.
Mr. Dave- As for the Poker tourney- the hand signal you should use is:
Touch the tip of your nose 2 times with the tip of your finger. As for playing-I think you should play loose and tight. Switch off so you confuse the other players. If you have a really good hand, wink at the other player to confuse him.
And to the rest of you-thanks for your generosity and keeping an eye on me.
ok-that’s it.
Trevor

Up next-the update on Trevor’s condition
We found out today that Drew IS NOT a match so we will be going forward with the Immuno-suppressive therapy. We will be admitted into Children’s Hospital Thursday morning and wil be ther 5 to 6 days.
After that we will be at home and at this time we are not sure what will be going on/restrictions, etc.
Needless to say- Drew was bummed he couldn’t help him big brother. Hopefully we will get the lap top up and running so we can give updates on the blog day-by-day while we are at the Hospital.
Please keep the prayers going and the positive thoughts. I’ll give more info out as it becomes available. Dr. Chang is going to call me tomorrow to answer any more questions we may have(boy, will he be shocked at the amount of questions we have)!
Take care everyone-
Dawn and my Crew

Hey Trevor and family,

What a nice thank you…you are more than welcome. We love to write to you!

We’re very sorry to hear that Drew is not a match. We’re also so proud of his bravery for stepping up to that plate so willingly and selflessly in his big brother’s time of need. Both of your boys are true heroes!

We have faith that plan B will work out just fine. Please keep up updated on what the next steps are and how we can help out. Trevor, hospitals can sometimes seem like scary places, but just remember that you are there to get well and put all your effort into that thought. We’ll be thinking of you and sending our well wishes. Hang tough, Norby crew!

Talk to you soon,

The Parkers

Hi Trevor,

It was wonderful to see you today. The kids couldn’t stop talking about your visit and how cool it was. Everyone wanted to play with your hospital goodies! They told me I had to go to detention for hugging you when I told them that they couldn’t!

I’m sorry to hear that Drew is not a match, I guess it is on to the next curve ball. I hope your time in the hospital goes smoothly and is not too boring. Let us know if there are any great movies, books, video games (never thought you’d hear me say that did you?!) that we can send along with you!

I’m really excited that we will get to have some one on one schoolwork time together…you are probably less excited about that! We can start as soon as your mom says it is a good time!

I don’t know if you will have a phone in your room…but if you do, you could call us in the classroom whenever you want and I’ll let you talk with some of the kids. They would probably prefer if you call during a really hard writing assignment! Just call the school (290 - 2900) and have the office put you through to our room!

Please know that you have 30 fans in room 26 who will be sending you good thoughts (and goofy cards) every day! Get well soon!!!

Love,
Mrs. M.

Trevor your strong mind and courageous heart will carry you through these times. Remember not to dwell on the past and focus on the future. Through every tunnel there’s a light and I see you kicking this very soon. Our hearts and prayers are with you.

Ok Buddy, you got it, two taps on the nose. I might throw in a fake signal to confuse them, like touch my hat or ear.

Don’t forget to tell the nurses you need to watch the Chargers game on Sunday!!!

Take Care,

Mr. Dave

Dear Trevor,

How are you doing? I’m doing pretty good. I hope that it doesn’t get too boring at the hospital for you. To help the boredom, we’ll be sending you two card games to play in the mail.
They’re call Wizard and Set. In both of them you have to use your mind and have a strategy, so that makes them fun. Have you gotten more information on the gray wolves that we adopted over New Years yet? It snowed agian last night leaving us about two inches. That’s the fifth snow storm that we’ve already had this winter.
Say hi to Drew, Uncle Ted, and Aunt Dawn for me!

Love,
Matt
